NS uses minerals that are mined from the earth and treated, coated and milled to produce an extremely fine and unique cosmetic grade pigment. When these pigments are used alone they are truly natural, but when mixed with chemicals, dyes, and cosmetic fillers they can no longer be called natural. NS mineral foundations and shimmer powders are all natural.
